Relief Materials for Flood Victims
June 2017 was a tragic month for the Chisapani Women's Group. The heavy monsoon rain caused flooding and landslides, and the people were compelled to leave their homes with a severe shortage of food, drinking water and shelter. With support from World Accord, 27 members of Chisapani Women's Group and their families were supported with food and shelter. In addition, Hemi Shrestha, Karen Cuthberston and the entire team of Medical Mercy Canada supported 27 Chisapani women with mosquito nets, mattresses and blankets.
